For instance, a research project has recently been approved involving Prisma Electronics SA and research organizations such as NASA, Fermi Labs, Stanford, Universities from Milan, Pisa, Rome and Stockholm aiming at the exchange of know-how and development of innovative technologies\u00bb stressed in an interview to \u00abIn-On\u00bb magazine, Christos Yordamlis Chief Executive Officer of Prism Electronics.<br \/>\n<strong>Question:<\/strong> Which of your products regard\u00a0 merchant shipping?<br \/>\n<strong>Answer:<\/strong> The Technology of Prisma Electronics through the integrated LAROS solution allows us to connect immediately with the existing sensors, measuring instruments and automation of a ship in order to extract data that allow the management of a shipping line to achieve an increase in efficiency, the more efficient operation of the ship , the reduction of the ship\u2019s consumption and environmental footprint, its certified compliance with the regulations and increased safety. Its easy installation and the impressive results of its use have now led more than 250 ships to select LAROS as the system that allows them to reduce their daily operating costs and to operate more efficiently in an environmentally -friendly way. Indeed, the company is making great\u00a0 efforts to expand abroad and further develop its technologies. Partnerships with shipping companies in Europe have already been established.<br \/>\n<strong>Question:<\/strong> Tell us about the company\u2019s plans and the investments in human resources and equipment. In what other areas are the products of the company addressed?<br \/>\n<strong>Answer:<\/strong> Today, Prisma Electronics is implementing an investment plan of 1,500,000 euros that will allow\u00a0 to add new precision robotics, a state-of-the-art Clean Room category 7, a thermal vacuum chamber and control equipment for further development and engagement in High- Technology.<br \/>\nAt the same time, the company constantly invests in human resources and especially in young scientists, giving, thus, the opportunity to engage in the development of state-of-the-art technologies in cooperation with leading research institutions around the world. More particularly, a research project has recently been approved involving Prisma Electronics SA and research organizations such as NASA, Fermi Labs, Stanford, Universities from Milan, Pisa, Rome and Stockholm aiming at the exchange of know-how and development of innovative technologies. The company today employs many\u00a0 Engineers, Programmers and Data Analysts, investing continually in their training. The aim is to provide high added value services in the design \u2013 manufacture \u2013 control of electronic circuits and also the further development of the company\u2019s products regarding knowledge management and artificial intelligence leading to better decision making and acquisition of new experiences.<br \/>\n<strong>Question:<\/strong> Why will the company participate in the new Super fund?<br \/>\n<strong>Answer:<\/strong> The evolution and\u00a0 the expansion of a company requires significant capital and investment. Today, Greek businesses\u00a0 are the only ones against an international globalized and competitive environment blocked by a banking system that faces its own problems and sucks them and also without a State acting as a helper. We hope that the Super fund will allow the company\u2019s\u00a0 funding\u00a0 with competitive rates so that the technological leadership\u00a0 turn into\u00a0 a major share of the global market.<br \/>\n1) History of Prisma Electronics SA.<br \/>\nPrisma Electronics SA was founded in 1991 in Alexandroupolis by the brothers Giorgos, Elias and Christos Yordamlis, primarily aiming at providing integrated IT solutions to the Industry, regional Media and the public sector. Within a short period of time,the company\u00a0 has taken over most industries in the region and organizations such as hospitals, municipalities, the army etc.<br \/>\nIn 1997, the company proceeded to the materialization\u00a0 of an investment plan that enabled it to create the first high-precision electronic circuit assembly line in Greece at the Alexandroupolis Industrial Area with customers from Greece and abroad, as well as a special subcontractor for electronic\u00a0 defense equipment.<br \/>\nIn 2002, the company created a new department for designing and developing new products in close cooperation with the University of the region while in 2006\u00a0 proceeded to the operation of a branch in Athens with\u00a0 main emphasis on the technological support of its customers. Utilizing research projects and cooperations funded by the European Union and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, Prisma Electronics SA invested in the development of technologies focusing on knowledge management from Sensors and Humans. Products based on this technology are XENAGOS and LAROS.\u00a0 More particularly, XENAGOS is an integrated knowledge management system of cultural content based on ontologies and distributing it in a visitor-centered way.<br \/>\nXENAGOS is behind dozens of facilities in museums and cities and has recently been awarded for the three-dimensional depiction of the City of Heraklion in the 14th century.<br \/>\nLAROS is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform and large data analysis (Big Data Analytics) that functions today on hundreds of ships and constitutes the cutting edge of technology in a vertical market that is now starting to grow.<br \/>\nAt the same time, technological excellence has enabled our company to undertake a pan-European competition to build 5500 gold-plated signal processing hybrid circuits for CERN and the CMS experiment that will prove the existence of the Higgs boson.\u00a0 Prisma Electronics was honored with CERN\u2019s 2009 Gold Prize for Industrial Co-operation for its contribution to improvement and excellent production, and till today not only does it collaborate on the production of electronic circuits but also primarily on the exchange of know-how in order to enhance the innovation of its products.<br \/>\nIn 2014, Prisma Electronics in cooperation with two Greek companies undertook the creation of an integrated subsystem related to the electric propulsion of small satellites while in 2015 it began cooperating\u00a0 with Airbus for the\u00a0 production of\u00a0 specific electronic and EMC tests for the Solar Orbiter satellite that aims to reach and analyze the Sun.<br \/>\nThe company actively participated in the networking and cooperation of Greek companies through the Corallia cluster and the Hellenic Shipbuilding Manufacturers Association HEMEXPO, as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curriculum Vitae<br \/>\n<\/strong>Christos Yordamlis was born in 1966 in Alexandroupolis (Greece).<br \/>\nHe holds a bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering since 1989 and has also studied Management and Marketing,<br \/>\nMr. Yordamlis is Chief Executive Officer of Prisma Electronics SA (www.prisma.gr) since 1996.<br \/>\nAdditionally he is:<br \/>\n\u2013 Member of the Board of Directors in\u00a0 companies with an emphasis on new technologies.<br \/>\n\u2013 President of the Association of Industries &amp; Crafts in Evros region<br \/>\n\u2013 President of the Association of Industries and Industries of remote regions.<br \/>\n\u2013 Third Vice President of the Association of Industries of Northern Greece.<br \/>\nSince 1991, when Prisma Electronics was launched, he has implemented hundreds of projects involving:<br \/>\n\u2022 Information Technology Projects in Thrace Industries and Enterprises<br \/>\n\u2022 Informatics Projects in the Public Sector of Thrace (Municipalities, Hospitals, DTI, TEI of Kavala, Prefecture Government)<br \/>\n\u2022 Design and implementation of MAN, WAN, Fiber, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet networks in businesses and organizations in the region<br \/>\n\u2022 Software Development and implementation of ERP-CRM, MRP, e-bussiness systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Cost Analysis \u2013 Accounting Systems \u2013 Financial Programming<br \/>\n\u2022 Personnel Management Systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Web Design, Internet Applications, Mobile Applications<br \/>\n\u2022 Design of Electronic Circuits and their production<br \/>\n\u2022 Systems Quality Control Procedures<br \/>\n\u2022 Production of electronic subsystems for Leopard 2, Mirage 2000-5, and other maintenance works of the Greek Army<br \/>\n\u2022 Exploiting the Human Resources of Prisma Electronics<br \/>\n\u2022 The management and implementation of Investment Plans Developing a Knowledge Management System for Cultural Content<br \/>\n\u2022 Efficient performance monitoring systems for heavy industrial environments and Shipping<br \/>\n\u2022 Management of research programs such as tire pressure monitoring, electronic circuits which are\u00a0 used for the production of renewable energy, industrial automation and proper operation monitoring systems using diagnostics and forecasting, virtual navigation systems using RFID, handhold computers and Wi-Fi networks<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/e-inon.gr\/magazine\/2017\/07\/18\/26rd-issue-2\/\"><em>Source of publication\u00a026th edition\u00a0In-On<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00abPrisma Electronics is constantly investing in human resources and especially in new scientists, giving the opportunity to engage in the development of state-of-the-art technologies in cooperation with leading research institutions around the world.
