Curriculum vitae
Mr. Nikolakakis was born at Neriana, Cydonia in Chania, Crete and he is a member of the consultative committee of the Pan-Cretan Union in Australia. Until his military service, he lived in Chania, Crete. A few years later his future wife, who was born in Vryses, Apokornou, Chania, invited him to go to Australia. According to Mr. Nikolakakis’ words this invitation was the result of a match-making by a woman they both knew through correspondence. This correspondence lasted for a year and Mr. Nikolakakis decided to leave Crete and go to Australia in order to marry his wife, who was already in Melbourne for a year and a half. He reached Australia in 1963 and got married to Polymnia. In Melbourne, he worked as an assistant for a short time and with the help of his wife he set up his own business. Today, the company is handed over to Mr. Nikolakakis’ children (two boys and a girl). In particular, Giannis is responsible for the Public Relations while Spyros for the financel section.
